.Flash Memory-Thin, rectangular cards using a type of chip.
.Graphical User Interface(GUl)-Instead of the command line, character-based interface.
.Hard Drive-Isthe storage device at the heart of most computer systems.
.HardWare-Encompasses all the physical components of a computer system.
.Input Device-Are external to the system unit and arte attached to it using specific connectors and ports.
.Linux-Is a powerful operating sysem for pcs based on unix.
.MacOs-Apple computer was the first bring a GUl to personal computer users in the early 1980s.
.Mainframe-Perform multiple tasks for many users simultaneously -usually for large corporations or organizations.

.output Device-Show you the results of the computer's processing.
.Platform-A specific version of operating system.
.Professional Workstation-Meets the needs of users requiring more computering power than a personal computer, yet less than a minicomputer.
.Random Access Memory(ram)-Chips store data only temporarily;all information is erased when the computer is turned off.
.Read-only memory(rom)-Chips have instructions and data built into them.
.Supercomputer-Meet this need by processing trillions of calculations per second.
.Syntax-Other rigidly enforced rules, collectively.
.System Software-Includes the operating system and utility programs that help to operate and maintain your computer's data management tasks-usully automatically without any action on your part.

.User Interface-The way in which the user interacts with the computer.
.Utility Program-The other part of the system software, perform ''behind the scenes'' duties that are important but not essential to the basic operation of the system.
.Virus-Are small pieces of unauthorized program code written to invade hard drives.
